Snow

I went to Nagano this weekend.

Let me tell you, the snow in Japan is far far far better than anything in Tahoe. All 4 times I've gone so far have been way better than the single best time ever in Tahoe (which I can't recall since they are always so mediocre). Deep powder, open terrain, less crowded lifts, etc. Lift tickets are cheaper too!

Yep another example of how you could sit there skiing the same mountain or town all your life and never realize you were skiing (snowboarding) at one of the mediocre resorts in the world. The unfortunate thing is I believe from accounts of some foreigners that Nagano and Niseko are among the best in the world. I may have already hit the peak of life!!
